BTW, here's some feedback on your playing. It's from the 4 year old daughter of one of my professors:
"Claire said the lute music was "pretty" and "good for bedtime." This was her reaction to your performance of "Mille Regretz."
Granted she should have said "vihuela", but they're a little limited at age 4. Gary Bryan

This website is a great, great joy, diverse in instrumentation and repertoire, it has integrity and depth and is far reaching in its gentleness...
Your 'philosophy' does harmonise with my thinking. I don't like the 'bionic' approach myself - umpteen of the best bits bolted together and called a performance. Blackbirds and thrushes don't do that! and they are always fresh, spontaneous and wonderful. I wish you well with this enterprise. I think one has to work with ones own intuition here, and take it on trust that somewhere, sometime, the music will leave an individual in a higher state of being than would otherwise have been the case. Michael Welch

I've just had a lengthy browse through your website, and listened to several of your sumptuous sound files - BRAVO! This is a great idea, and one of the most informative, well laid-out websites I have ever encountered. It is also a wonderful testament not only to your prodigious skills as a musician, but also your generosity of spirit as an artist! John Kenny

Tremendous, and thank you Euguene C. Braig IV

That's amzing, Rob. You simply rock! Sasha

Great stuff!! Monica Hall

Lovely stuff! It still amazes me there is so much baroque guitar music which is unknown/unplayed. I really enjoyed the 10/11c stuff too - how about some Mesangeau? Martin Shepherd

Super Bach! Roman Turovsky

Thank you so much !!!!! By the way, I think your idea of recording live without "umpteen million" edits is a nice idea. Having listened to the recorded (name removed) and then seeing him in concert I realized the difference. The good player is able to accomodate for mistakes and give a great performance, while an edited, recorded version provides an idealized version which is pleasant for the listener but somewhat frustrating for the aspiring player. If you ever do any concerts in the south of France let me know - I'd love to come and listen. Michael Koblis

... a beautifully played and generously provided collection of music rob - thank you. Bill Kilpatrick

Thanks a lot, Rob. It is a very nice way to present recordings. I like the 2nd cello suite in the darker g minor.... dark chocolate! Ed Martin
